"CRR Go The Distance" Weekly Training Runs As always we will have maps and fluids for distances between 6 and 20 miles. Check the website home page each week for run location and details. Varying paces and distances. Fully supported runs with maps and fluid stops. These are member only runs, but visitors are welcome to attend a run to check us out!!! For more information please contact: gothedistanceCRR@charter.net Weekly Wednesday Night Runs from Marietta Square Meet at the Small Locomotive in the Children's Playground on the Marietta Square at 6pm for runs of varying distance. Contact: 770-427-4471 Directions: From I-75 to Exit 261 - Lockheed, Dobbins, Delk Road - go West 3.1 miles to Lockheed main gate (3 traffic lights), turn right on Fairground to 1st traffic light (Cobb County Civic Center on corner). Turn left onto Marietta Parkway, travel 0.8 miles to Atlanta Road (2nd traffic light) turn right. Travel 0.3 miles to Marietta Square Park, (two traffic lights) park is on the left. Then join the group for a post-run carbo reload at La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant If you are interested in a run meet the group at the Small Locomotive in the Marietta Square Park at 6PM, otherwise, stop by LaParrilla around 7 PM for appetizers, good food and company. You can find La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant at the intersection of Whitlock and Marietta Parkway (120 Loop), just outside the Marietta Square. Weekly Thursday Night Runs from Fleet Feet Sports-Sandy Springs Meet at Fleet Feet Sports Johnson Ferry Rd at Roswell Rd. (Across from Target) at 6pm for runs of 5-7 miles.. Contact: 404-255-3338.
Membership Meetings The CRR's next membership meeting will be held Monday, February 16, 2009 at Mellow Mushroom 2000 Powers Ferry Rd. (Corner of Windy Hill Rd. & Powers Ferry Rd) The meeting begins at 7:00PM. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by the club. These monthly meetings are always scheduled for the 3rd Monday of each month.
Our Monthly "Sunday Social" Run The next monthly social run will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 8:00AM (NOTE TIME CHANGE FOR FALL !!!) at Cochran Shoals @ the Chattahoochee River (Parking Lot off Interstate North Parkway near I-285). Bring a "goodie" to share after the run!!! These monthly group runs are always scheduled for the 2nd Sunday of each month. And during the summer months of June, July, & August the monthly group runs begin at 7:30 AM instead of 8:00 AM in order to beat the heat (or try to!).
